Rivers of the future

Poster Design for the art competition “Rivers of the City.” The artwork highlights the significance of rivers in people's lives, past, present, and future. It can be viewed from three perspectives: philosophical, societal, and historical. At the core, rivers symbolize beginnings and the essence of nature. Water flows freely without a model or plan, reminding us that it's okay for things to exist without strict organization. Throughout history, rivers have served humanity as sources of sustenance, transportation, and calmness. As society evolves, we seem to drift away from these vital natural bodies, retreating into our homes. However, this disconnection is cyclical; we will inevitably return to our roots. Rivers continue to unite people, offering tranquility and cleansing, irrespective of time or circumstance. The future of rivers in urban settings should evoke a sense of peace reminiscent of being alone in a forest. This connection spans generations, fostering a shared feeling of freedom. As people seek solace in nature, the bond with rivers will endure, becoming increasingly relevant in our lives.
